This Interfor engineered clearcut and road, completed mid-2004, are perched overlooking the intact Satchie Valley (visible at right). Satchie Creek and neighbouring Hesquiat Lake Creek (visible at extreme right) are the only 2 intact (completely unlogged) valleys left in the Hesquiat region. In 2005, Interfor is scheduled to continue this road into the Satchie, and to build 22 km of road and log 6 cutblocks along the valley. Interfor also plans to log 4 cutblocks in Hesquiat Lake Creek.
