25% of the area of this watershed has now been clearcut. |

| Interfor's uppermost cutblock in Rolling Stone Valley, logged fall 1995. According to Clayoquot Sound Scientific Panel definition, this is "not a clearcut" because of the patch of trees left standing in middle of block. Looks like an 11 hectare clearcut to us (11 hectares = 27 football fields). |

| Small ephemeral stream, clearcut to both banks in 1996, in steep upper portion of an Interfor cutblock in Rolling Stone Valley. Of the stream reaches logged in Clayoquot Sound from 1995-1998, 54% were clearcut to the banks, such as this one. |

| A narrow band of trees (10 metres wide in total) was left standing to protect a small stream in Interfor's 1996 cutblock in Rolling Stone Valley. However, within 6 months, many of these trees had blown down, as can be seen in this photo. |
