Friends of Clayoquot Sound is a grassroots organization that depends on individuals for support for
research, public education, and inspiring people to action. Most of the
financial support we receive comes directly from people like you who want to
protect Clayoquot Sound.
All donors receive our print newsletters and e-news (unless they opt out). We never share your info with other parties.
Because we operate independently of government, we are not able to provide tax-deductible receipts for most

Monthly donations
Join our Wilderness Team as a monthly donor! Wilderness Team members show their commitment to conservation in Clayoquot Sound with
a regular, monthly donation that ensures our ability to continue the vital work of protecting Clayoquot Sound.
Even $10 a month (what's that, two lattes?) goes a long way.
Hoo-rah! We were
trying to enlist 100 new monthly donors by the end of the year, and we made it.
Thanks to all who signed on! And it's not too late to support our efforts to
protect Clayoquot Sound — you can still become a monthly donor:

Choose "Monthly" in the frequency pick-box.
- Bank account debit — Download and print this
Pre-Authorized Debit Agreement. Then fax or mail it to us,
along with a void cheque (contact info on the form). Note: Direct debit
works for Canadian bank/credit union accounts only.

One-time donations

How does your donation help protect Clayoquot Sound?
Over 75% of our financial support comes directly from individual members like you who want to help
protect Clayoquot Sound. We also receive some support from charitable foundations, and from small businesses in
Tofino. We accept no corporate donations or support from government.
So what can my donation do to help conservation efforts?
- $25 donation — pays for the cost of hosting an outreach and education booth at a public event, allowing us
to educate new audiences and sell our merchandise for additional fundraising.
- $50 — covers the cost of a volunteer orientation event and training session so that we can engage more
committed people to host events, help with research and spread the word!
- $100 — allows us to host a slide show or film night in Tofino at the height of tourist season, reaching new
supporters and educating visitors about the ecological value of Clayoquot Sound.
- $500 — supports an expedition to an area slated for logging or a logged area in Clayoquot Sound where we can
take an inventory of trees, record the landscape with photographs and prepare a report to share with supporters
and the media.
- $1,000 — helps cover the cost of one of our major campaign initiatives such as the cost of an air flight
over Clayoquot Sound's pristine valleys with scientists and news reporters or the cost of organizing and
attending meetings with seafood retailers on the U.S. west coast — a major market for farmed salmon coming
from Clayoquot Sound.
